History
The Pursuit of Horses was started to spread the love of horses and the joy of riding.
Education
Having ridden for many years, besides going around and around in an arena, we were pretty much left alone to educate ourselves on the equestrian world. Seeking guidance was no easy task, especially with all the different schools of thought that are available in books and on the web. Everything learnt was through trial and error, and with much frustration that was only alleviated by the joy felt when around horses. Surely there could be a more systematic way of approaching education in horse riding. Moreover, having invested many hours in riding, rain or shine, exam or no exam, there was literally nothing to show for it, unless one was to enter inter-club competitions. Horse riding seemed destined to be nothing more than a hobby. Hence, with Pursuit of Horses, we've decided to create a curriculum that would guide beginner riders in their pursuit of the equestrian sport and to save them from the frustration and discouragement that many of us have faced.
Horse-themed Merchandise
With a passion for horses that runs so deep, it seemed both natural and logical to branch into horse-themed merchandise so that others can also express their passion for horses (:
Overseas Trips
The equestrian world is huge and has centuries of global history. In the tiny island of Singapore, we only manage to experience the tip of the equestrian iceberg. Having travelled to different places around the world to ride, the different forms of riding that showcase the versatility and talent of our equine partners have deepened our understanding and knowledge. It is our hope that by helping others see and experience what we have, their eyes will too be opened and their love for horses will grow.
The People
Behind our very encouraging and friendly leader/manager is a dedicated and enthusiastic team of horse lovers. Some of us have been riding since young but there are also some of us who have started not long ago. But we all share a common bond (i.e.: our love for horses & riding) that has brought us closer and the friendships made have allowed for riding to be so much more enjoyable. It's about support and appreciation for each other too! Currently, we keep it a point to have regular meetups despite our busy schedules; some working, some schooling.
If you see us around Polo Club and/or NEC. Say hi to us! We don't bite and are more than happy and welcome to chat about horses or show you around!
Our Motto
Life's too short to chase things you don't like, to climb ladders you want to jump off, to let people tell you how you should define success, and to put Passion off till later. To ride or not to ride, that is a stupid question.
